Calgary is such a change from Toronto. Gone are the huge concrete buildings, the massive traffic jams and the hordes of people.

Only the weather took a bit to get used too. It could snow one day then a chinook wind would come through and there would be brilliant sun shine. Zoe, Shane and family have certainly got used to it and love it.

Mackenzie and Logan adore their swimming and once again did very well at their championships, here they are collecting their cups. Logan is now 14 years old and Mackenzie will be 16 this July. To receive the overall cup at the end of the Championships took a lot of hard work and dedication.

A swimmer has to swim all four strokes. The individual strokes, except the breaststroke, are 100 meters each. The breaststroke is 50 meters and each stroke in the combination swim is also 50 meters. There are different age groups for both males and females. Points are awarded on each position you are placed and the one with the highest aggregates wins the biggest prize:-   The Championship Cup.

Mackenzie’s results were as follows:-

Freestyle:-  Ist place, with a time of 1:10.97.  Points obtained 7.

Backstroke:-  2nd place, with a time of 1:21.16. Points obtained 5.

Butterfly:- 1st place, with a time of 1:32.65. Points obtained 7. 

Breaststroke:- 1st place, with a time of 35.23. points obtained 7.

Individual Medley (IM):-  This is all four strokes swam one after the other. 1st place, with a time of 1:20.66. Points obtained 7.

Total points out of a possible 35,   Mackenzie gained 33 points. 

What an excellent performance.

Logan’s results were as follows:-

Freestyle:- 1st place, with a time of 1:05.63. Points obtained 7.

Backstroke:- 2nd place, with a time of 1:19.56. Points obtained 5.

Butterfly:- 1st place, with a time of 1:32.19, Points obtained 7.

Breaststroke:- 1st place, with a time of 23.70. points obtained 7.

Individual Medley (IM):- 1st place, with a time of 1:15.95. Points obtained 7.

Total points out of a possible 35, Logan gained 33 points.
